Introduction
Shri C. Vamsi Krishna, IPS is an officer belonging to 2009 batch borne on Karnataka cadre. A graduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad and an alumnus of National Law School of India University, Bengaluru.
He served as ASP in Tumakuru District and later as Superintendent of Police in the Districts of Yadgir, Dharwad, Uttara Kannada, Haveri and Bagalkot of Karnataka. He also served as Superintendent of Police in Anti-Corruption Bureau Karnataka.
He is currently serving as Assistant Director (IT) and Chief Information Security Officer at SVP National Police Academy since January 2019.
He leads the team of Digital Crime Resource and Training Centre at the National Police Academy which specializes in the training of Cyber-Crime Investigation and Digital Forensics.
He is a certified ethical hacker and a certified information security expert. His interests, among other things, include cyber and data protection laws, network security, digital forensics and blockchain & distributed ledger technologies.
He was awarded with Director’s Commendation Insignia (Gold Plated) for his outstanding contribution to the Academy in November 2021.
