N. Madhusudhana Reddy

Introduction

Shri N. Madhusudhana Reddy is an IPS Officer of 1997 batch borne on Andhra Pradesh Cadre. He is Graduate in Electrical Engineering from College of Engineering, Anantapur. His first posting was Asst. Supdt. of Police of Armoor Subdivision of Nizamabad district. On promotion, he served as Addl. Supdt. of Police (Operations) in Karimnagar dist. In the rank of Superintendent of Police, he served as SP of Nizamabad and Kurnool districts and as Deputy Commissioner of Police of Central Zone, West Zone and South Zone in Hyderabad City. In the rank of Dy. Inspector General of Police, he worked as Commissioner of Police, Vijayawada city and as DIG (Counter Intelligence). As Inspector General of Police, he handled Personnel Administration and Provisioning & Logistics wings in the Police Headquarters. He has vast experience in urban policing, anti-extremist work and counter terrorism.

He was awarded Police Medal for Gallantry in the year 2003, Internal Security Medal in the year 2004 and Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2014. He joined the Academy as Dy. Director in November 2017.
